James Countryman serves as a Manager in the firm’s Client Advisory Services practice. In this role, he works with organizations to strengthen their accounting operations, improve financial visibility, and support leadership with reliable financial information for decision-making. James takes a collaborative approach to client service, viewing each engagement as a partnership while working alongside clients to support decision making and providing meaningful insights that support business growth and operational efficiency.

Prior to joining WhippleWood, James held several accounting leadership roles in Corporate Accounting and Public Accounting across various industries including Education, Entertainment, and Tax Accounting. His more than a decade of experience has resulted in a passion for helping people through tangible and intangible approaches which is demonstrated in his involvement with the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program which provides free tax-preparation to low-income and marginalized communities.
